Government Initiatives in Education

A significant part of Cambodia’s educational improvements can be attributed to the government’s concerted effort displayed through the following initiatives:

• Increased Investment in Education: As of 2023, education is anticipated to comprise about 20% of the government’s budget, testament to the Cambodian authority’s increased funding dedication.
• Improvement of Teacher Quality: To enhance the standard of education, several initiatives are being implemented, including both pre-service and in-service teacher training, and performance-based remuneration.
